Dr Mike Wolfman MBChB DRCOG FPCert

The Wolfman family moved to Somerset in 2003, where Mike became a Partner in a large practice in Burnham-on-Sea. The move enabled him to become a part time GP and gave him the opportunity to develop Phoenix Treatment Centre with Rick Bowley.

Mike qualified in 1982 from Liverpool University and started his career as a Surgeon before heading for General Practice. He became a principal in General Practice in 1989 in Barnet, North London where he spent the next 14 years, performing all the minor surgery for the practice, including radiosurgery and cryotherapy.

He has been happily married to Francesca, an Occupational Therapist, since 1989 and they have four children, Freddie, Gregory, Archie and Daisy. Their eldest son has Williams Syndrome and Mike has become involved with the Williams Syndrome Foundation, of which he is now Vice Chairman and Secretary to their Professional Advisory Panel.

In his spare time Mike enjoys furniture making, amateur dramatics, Pilates and cooking, and is also a Medical officer to St Margaret's Hospice.

Alongside Rick, Mike is excited and inspired to be involved with Phoenix and they look forward to seeing the Company evolve from strength to strength!

Dr Richard N Bowley MBChB MRCGP DRCOG DFFP LfHom

Rick was born and raised in Thailand, before heading back to the UK to study medicine at Bristol University. He has been a GP and a Police Surgeon since 2000, and continues to expand the work of Phoenix Treatment Centre with Mike Wolfman.

During his career, Rick developed interests in Homeopathy and Complementary medicine, gaining the LFHom qualification from Bristol University in 1998. He also gained expertise in diseases of the eyes and undertook work in hospital with eye-specialists for 10 years. It was during this time that he first used laser technology and discovered how fantastic lasers are when used to treat patients.

Rick met his wife Alison, a Nurse, whilst studying at Bristol, and they now have two children, Caitlin and Harvey. The whole family are keen animal lovers, particularly the children who are horse and dog crazy, and they have 2 dogs and 2 horses to care for!

During his spare time Rick enjoys travelling and learning about different cultures, languages and cooking. He also has a large organic garden and cultivates fruit and vegetables which he enjoys harvesting and sharing.

Alongside Mike, Rick enjoys looking after patients using the very best treatments available, and they gain great satisfaction from helping their patients to live healthier and happier lives.

Alison Bowley RGN

Alison trained as a nurse at Bristol & Weston School of Nursing where she first met Rick. After developing a shared interest in Cosmetic & Aesthetic treatments Alison completed a Laser Training course and has joined Rick and Mike working 2 days a week at Phoenix Treatment Centre.

Outside of the clinic Alison enjoys gardening and taking the family and dogs for long walks around the Mendips. Alison and Rick share a passion for exploring foreign cultures and cuisine and especially like Thai food.
